Midday Glare
This is on the way to Condobolin in Central West New South Wales. It is a section of country looking towards the Warrumbungles Range. They have a Mediterranean climate, and everything is hayed off in summer, not like the coast where we have our best growth of pastures. Generally, the country is very flat out west, but these are some foothills running up to the mountain ranges. I tried to give the image of shimmering heat, and of better things to come when they get their break, that is, when the rains come. All eyes turn to the clouds building up at the end of summer.
