Ancestral
This is a painting of a world of thought I rarely venture into – it is of our lives and deaths, where we come from, and how brief our existence is. Our lives are like flowers – we bloom briefly in the sun, but death is ever just around the corner, portrayed by the moon looming over us. The pool of water represents where we come from – our ancestry. Serene and tranquil, but the deeper in history we look, the closer are the turbulent patches of our immediate ancestors’ lives. I don’t know whether I got this right – it will be up to the viewer to find their own interpretation of this painting.
