Falls Country
This is an abstract painting of country just as the New England Tablelands falls away to the coastal hinterland in Northern New South Wales. This country is well treed and has very few people living there. It is also the catchment area for our larger rivers. The area I captured was in the catchment of the Manning River, with five other rivers joining into it. I tried to depict the tangled beauty of the trees, and also the fact that it is a steep run-off area of water to the coast.
